بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| |
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু। |
| |
|
|
| |
اقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مَّعْرِضُونَ |
(1 |
| |
মানুষের হিসাব-কিতাবের সময় নিকটবর্তী; অথচ তারা বেখবর হয়ে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিচ্ছে। |
|
| |
Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مَّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ |
(2 |
| |
তাদের কাছে তাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে যখনই কোন নতুন উপদেশ আসে, তারা তা খেলার ছলে শ্রবণ করে। |
|
| |
Comes not unto them an admonition (a chapter of the Qur’ān) from their Lord as a recent revelation but they listen to it while they play, |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَاهِيَةً قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَسَرُّواْ النَّجْوَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ هَلْ هَذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ أَفَتَأْتُونَ السِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ |
(3 |
| |
তাদের অন্তর থাকে খেলায় মত্ত। জালেমরা গোপনে পরামর্শ করে, সে তো তোমাদেরই মত একজন মানুষ; এমতাবস্থায় দেখে শুনে তোমরা তার যাদুর কবলে কেন পড়? |
|
| |
With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): ”Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالَ رَبِّي يَعْلَمُ الْقَوْلَ فِي السَّمَاء وَالأَرْضِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
(4 |
| |
পয়গম্বর বললেনঃ নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের কথাই আমার পালনকর্তা জানেন। তিনি সবকিছু শোনেন, সবকিছু জানেন। |
|
| |
He (Muhammad SAW) said: ”My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
بَلْ قَالُواْ أَضْغَاثُ أَحْلاَمٍ بَلِ افْتَرَاهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِآيَةٍ كَمَا أُرْسِلَ الأَوَّلُونَ |
(5 |
| |
এছাড়া তারা আরও বলেঃ অলীক স্বপ্ন; না সে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করেছে, না সে একজন কবি। অতএব সে আমাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন আনয়ন করুক, যেমন নিদর্শন সহ আগমন করেছিলেন পূর্ববর্তীগন। |

Nay, they say:”These (revelations of the Qur’ān which are inspired to Muhammad SAW) are mixed up false dreams! Nay, he has invented it! Nay, he is a poet! Let him then bring us an Ayāh (sign as a proof) like the ones (Prophets) that were sent before (with signs)!” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
مَا آمَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
(6 |
| |
তাদের পূর্বে যেসব জনপদ আমি ধবংস করে দিয়েছি, তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেনি; এখন এরা কি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে? |
|
| |
Not one of the towns (populations), of those which We destroyed, believed before them (though We sent them signs), will they then believe? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
(7 |
| |
আপনার পূর্বে আমি মানুষই প্রেরণ করেছি, যাদের কাছে আমি ওহী পাঠাতাম। অতএব তোমরা যদি না জান তবে যারা স্মরণ রাখে তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর। |
|
| |
And We sent not before you (O Muhammad SAW) but men to whom We inspired, so ask the people of the Reminder [Scriptures - the Taurāt (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel)] if you do not know. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ |
(8 |
| |
আমি তাদেরকে এমন দেহ বিশিষ্ট করিনি যে, তারা খাদ্য ভক্ষণ করত না এবং তারা চিরস্থায়ীও ছিল না। |
|
| |
And We did not create them (the Messengers, with) bodies that ate not food, nor were they immortals, |
|
| |
|
|
| |
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَاهُمُ الْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَاهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَاء وَأَهْلَكْنَا الْمُسْرِفِينَ |
(9 |
| |
অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে দেয়া আমার প্রতিশ্রুতি পূর্ণ করলাম সুতরাং তাদেরকে এবং যাদেরকে ইচ্ছা বাঁচিয়ে দিলাম এবং ধবংস করে ছিলাম সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীদেরকে। |
|
| |
Then We fulfilled to them the promise, and We saved them and those whom We willed, but We destroyed Al-Musrifūn (i.e. extravagants in oppression, polytheism and in sin). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَابًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ |
(10 |
| |
আমি তোমাদের প্রতি একটি কিতাব অবর্তীর্ণ করেছি; এতে তোমাদের জন্যে উপদেশ রয়েছে। তোমরা কি বোঝ না? |
|
| |
Indeed, We have sent down for you (O mankind) a Book, (the Qur’ān) in which there is Dhikrukum, (your Reminder or an honour for you i.e. honour for the one who follows the teaching of the Qur’ān and acts on its orders). Will you not then understand? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ |
(11 |
| |
আমি কত জনপদের ধ্বংস সাধন করেছি যার অধিবাসীরা ছিল পাপী এবং তাদের পর সৃষ্টি করেছি অন্য জাতি। |
|
| |
How many a town (community), that were wrong-doers, have We destroyed, and raised up after them another people! |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ |
(12 |
| |
অতঃপর যখন তারা আমার আযাবের কথা টের পেল, তখনই তারা সেখান থেকে পলায়ন করতে লাগল। |
|
| |
Then, when they perceived (saw) Our Torment (coming), behold, they (tried to) flee from it. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَا تَرْكُضُوا وَارْجِعُوا إِلَى مَا أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَاكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ |
(13 |
| |
পলায়ন করো না এবং ফিরে এস, যেখানে তোমরা বিলাসিতায় মত্ত ছিলে ও তোমাদের আবাসগৃহে; সম্ভবত; কেউ তোমাদের জিজ্ঞেস করবে। |
|
| |
Flee not, but return to that wherein you lived a luxurious life, and to your homes, in order that you may be questioned. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |
(14 |
| |
তারা বললঃ হায়, দুর্ভোগ আমাদের, আমরা অবশ্যই পাপী ছিলাম। |
|
| |
They cried: ”Woe to us! Certainly! We have been Zālimūn (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allāh, etc.).” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّى جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ |
(15 |
| |
তাদের এই আর্তনাদ সব সময় ছিল, শেষ পর্যন্ত আমি তাদেরকে করে দিলাম যেন কর্তিত শস্য ও নির্বাপিত অগ্নি। |
|
| |
And that cry of theirs ceased not, till We made them as a field that is reaped, extinct (dead). |
|
| |
|
| |
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ |
(16 |
| |
আকাশ পৃথিবী এতদুভয়ের মধ্যে যা আছে, তা আমি ক্রীড়াচ্ছলে সৃষ্টি করিনি। |
|
| |
We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play . |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ |
(17 |
| |
আমি যদি ক্রীড়া উপকরণ সৃষ্টি করতে চাইতাম, তবে আমি আমার কাছে যা আছে তা দ্বারাই তা করতাম, যদি আমাকে করতে হত। |
|
| |
Had We intended to take a pastime (i.e. a wife or a son, etc.), We could surely have taken it from Us, if We were going to do (that). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ وَلَكُمُ الْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ |
(18 |
| |
বরং আমি সত্যকে মিথ্যার উপর নিক্ষেপ করি, অতঃপর সত্য মিথ্যার মস্তক চুর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দেয়, অতঃপর মিথ্যা তৎক্ষণাৎ নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে যায়। তোমরা যা বলছ, তার জন্যে তোমাদের দুর্ভোগ। |
|
| |
Nay, We fling (send down) the truth (this Qur’ān) against the falsehood (disbelief), so it destroys it, and behold, it (falsehood) is vanished. And woe to you for that (lie) which you ascribe (to Us) (against Allāh by uttering that Allāh has a wife and a son). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ عِندَهُ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ |
(19 |
| |
নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলে যারা আছে, তারা তাঁরই। আর যারা তাঁর সান্নিধ্যে আছে তারা তাঁর ইবাদতে অহংকার করে না এবং অলসতাও করে না। |
|
| |
To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and on earth. And those who are near Him (i.e. the angels) are not too proud to worship Him, nor are they weary (of His worship). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
يُسَبِّحُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ |
(20 |
| |
তারা রাত্রিদিন তাঁর পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা বর্ণনা করে এবং ক্লান্ত হয় না। |
|
| |
They (i.e. the angels) glorify His Praises night and day, (and) they never slacken (to do so). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا آلِهَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ |
(21 |
| |
তারা কি মৃত্তিকা দ্বারা তৈরী উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে, যে তারা তাদেরকে জীবিত করবে? |
|
| |
Or have they taken (for worship) āliha (gods) from the earth who raise the dead? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ |
(22 |
| |
যদি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য উপাস্য থাকত, তবে উভয়ের ধ্বংস হয়ে যেত। অতএব তারা যা বলে, তা থেকে আরশের অধিপতি আল্লাহ পবিত্র। |
|
| |
Had there been therein (in the heavens and the earth) gods besides Allāh, then verily both would have been ruined. Glorified be Allāh, the Lord of the Throne, (High is He) above what they attribute to Him! |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ |
(23 |
| |
তিনি যা করেন, তৎসম্পর্কে তিনি জিজ্ঞাসিত হবেন না এবং তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করা হবে। |
|
| |
He cannot be questioned as to what He does, while they will be questioned. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ |
(24 |
| |
তারা কি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যান্য উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে? বলুন, তোমরা তোমাদের প্রমাণ আন। এটাই আমার সঙ্গীদের কথা এবং এটাই আমার পুর্ববর্তীদের কথা। বরং তাদের অধিকাংশই সত্য জানে না; অতএব তারা টালবাহানা করে। |
|
| |
Or have they taken for worship (other) āliha (gods) besides Him? Say: ”Bring your proof:” This (the Qur’ān) is the Reminder for those with me and the Reminder for those before me. But most of them know not the Truth, so they are averse. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ |
(25 |
| |
আপনার পূর্বে আমি যে রাসূলই প্রেরণ করেছি, তাকে এ আদেশই প্রেরণ করেছি যে, আমি ব্যতীত অন্য কোন উপাস্য নেই। সুতরাং আমারই এবাদত কর। |
|
| |
And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad SAW) but We inspired him (saying): Lā ilāha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allāh)], so worship Me (Alone and none else).” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ |
(26 |
| |
তারা বললঃ দয়াময় আল্লাহ সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছে। তাঁর জন্য কখনও ইহা যোগ্য নয়; বরং তারা তো তাঁর সম্মানিত বান্দা। |
|
| |
And they say: ”The Most Beneficent (Allāh) has begotten a son (or children).” Glory to Him! They [those whom they call children of Allāh i.e. the angels, ’Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), ’Uzair (Ezra), etc.], are but honoured slaves. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُونَ |
(27 |
| |
তারা আগে বেড়ে কথা বলতে পারে না এবং তারা তাঁর আদেশেই কাজ করে। |
|
| |
They speak not until He has spoken, and they act on His Command. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِ مُشْفِقُونَ |
(28 |
| |
তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে যা আছে, তা তিনি জানেন। তারা শুধু তাদের জন্যে সুপারিশ করে, যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা তাঁর ভয়ে ভীত। |
|
| |
He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him with whom He is pleased. And they stand in awe for fear of Him. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي إِلَهٌ مِّن دُونِهِ فَذَلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ |
(29 |
| |
তাদের মধ্যে যে বলে যে, তিনি ব্যতীত আমিই উপাস্য, তাকে আমি জাহান্নামের শাস্তি দেব। আমি জালেমদেরকে এভাবেই প্রতিফল দিয়ে থাকি। |
|
| |
And if any of them should say: ”Verily, I am an ilāh (a god) besides Him (Allāh),” such a one We should recompense with Hell. Thus We recompense the Zālimūn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاء كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ |
(30 |
| |
কাফেররা কি ভেবে দেখে না যে, আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর মুখ বন্ধ ছিল, অতঃপর আমি উভয়কে খুলে দিলাম এবং প্রাণবন্ত সবকিছু আমি পানি থেকে সৃষ্টি করলাম। এরপরও কি তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে না? |
|
| |
Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? |
|
| |
|
| |
وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ |
(31 |
| |
আমি পৃথিবীতে ভারী বোঝা রেখে দিয়েছি যাতে তাদেরকে নিয়ে পৃথিবী ঝুঁকে না পড়ে এবং তাতে প্রশস্ত পথ রেখেছি, যাতে তারা পথ প্রাপ্ত হয়। |
|
| |
And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them, and We placed therein broad highways for them to pass through, that they may be guided. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاء سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ |
(32 |
| |
আমি আকাশকে সুরক্ষিত ছাদ করেছি; অথচ তারা আমার আকাশস্থ নিদর্শনাবলী থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে রাখে। |
|
| |
And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ |
(33 |
| |
তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেছেন রাত্রি ও দিন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্র। সবাই আপন আপন কক্ষপথে বিচরণ করে। |
|
| |
And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ |
(34 |
| |
আপনার পূর্বেও কোন মানুষকে আমি অনন্ত জীবন দান করিনি। সুতরাং আপনার মৃত্যু হলে তারা কি চিরঞ্জীব হবে? |
|
| |
And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad SAW), then if you die, would they live forever? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ |
(35 |
| |
প্রত্যেককে মৃত্যুর স্বাদ আস্বাদন করতে হবে। আমি তোমাদেরকে মন্দ ও ভাল দ্বারা পরীক্ষা করে থাকি এবং আমারই কাছে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে। |
|
| |
Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good, and to Us you will be returned. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ |
(36 |
| |
কাফেররা যখন আপনাকে দেখে তখন আপনার সাথে ঠাট্টা করা ছাড়া তাদের আর কোন কাজ থাকে না, একি সেই ব্যক্তি, যে তোমাদের দেব-দেবীদের সমালোচনা করে? এবং তারাই তো রহমান’ এর আলোচনায় অস্বীকার করে। |

| |
And when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allāh) see you (O Muhammad SAW), they take you not except for mockery (saying): ”Is this the one who talks (badly) about your gods?” While they disbelieve at the mention of the Most Beneficent (Allāh). [Tafsir. Al-Qurtubī]. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
خُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ سَأُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِي فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ |
(37 |
| |
সৃষ্টিগত ভাবে মানুষ ত্বরাপ্রবণ, আমি সত্তরই তোমাদেরকে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দেখাব। অতএব আমাকে শীঘ্র করতে বলো না। |
|
| |
Man is created of haste, I will show you My Ayāt (torments, proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).So ask Me not to hasten (them). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
(38 |
| |
এবং তারা বলেঃ যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও তবে এই ওয়াদা কবে পুর্ণ হবে? |
|
| |
And they say: ”When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ |
(39 |
| |
যদি কাফেররা ঐ সময়টি জানত, যখন তারা তাদের সম্মুখ ও পৃষ্ঠদেশ থেকে অগ্নি প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না এবং তারা সাহায্য প্রাপ্ত হবে না। |
|
| |
If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; and they will not be helped. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ |
(40 |
| |
বরং তা আসবে তাদের উপর অতর্কিত ভাবে, অতঃপর তাদেরকে তা হতবুদ্ধি করে দেবে, তখন তারা তা রোধ করতেও পারবে না এবং তাদেরকে অবকাশও দেয়া হবে না। |
|
| |
Nay, it (the Fire or the Day of Resurrection) will come upon them all of a sudden and will perplex them, and they will have no power to avert it, nor will they get respite. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون |
(41 |
| |
আপনার পূর্বেও অনেক রাসূলের সাথে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করা হয়েছে। অতঃপর যে বিষয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা করত তা উল্টো ঠাট্টাকারীদের উপরই আপতিত হয়েছে। |

| |
Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you (O Muhammad SAW), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ |
(42 |
| |
বলুনঃ ‘রহমান’ থেকে কে তোমাদেরকে হেফাযত করবে রাত্রে ও দিনে। বরং তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার স্মরণ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে রাখে। |
|
| |
Say: ”Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Beneficent (Allāh)?” Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
أَمْ لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ |
(43 |
| |
তবে কি আমি ব্যতীত তাদের এমন দেব-দেবী আছে যারা তাদেরকে রক্ষা করবে? তারা তো নিজেদেরই সাহায্য করতে সক্ষম নয় এবং তারা আমার মোকাবেলায় সাহায্যকারীও পাবে না। |

| |
Or have they āliha (gods) who can guard them from Us? They have no power to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us (i.e. from Our Torment). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَؤُلَاء وَآبَاءهُمْ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ |
(44 |
| |
বরং আমি তাদেরকে এবং তাদের বাপ-দাদাকে ভোগসম্বার দিয়েছিলাম, এমনকি তাদের আয়ুস্কালও দীর্ঘ হয়েছিল। তারা কি দেখে না যে, আমি তাদের দেশকে চতুর্দিক থেকে হ্রাস করে আনছি। এরপরও কি তারা বিজয়ী হবে? |

Nay, We gave the luxuries of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will overcome. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاء إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ |
(45 |
| |
বলুনঃ আমি তো কেবল ওহীর মাধ্যমেই তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করি, কিন্তু বধিরদেরকে যখন সতর্ক করা হয়, তখন তারা সে সতর্কবাণী শোনে না। |
|
| |
Say (O Muhammad SAW): ”I warn you only by the revelation (from Allāh and not by the opinion of the religious scholars and others). But the deaf (who follow the religious scholars and others blindly) will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned [(i.e. one should follow only the Qur’ān and the Sunnah (legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements of Prophet Muhammad SAW , as the Companions of the Prophet SAW did)]. |

|
| |
وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |
(46 |
| |
আপনার পালনকর্তার আযাবের কিছুমাত্রও তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করলে তারা বলতে থাকবে, হায় আমাদের দুর্ভাগ্য, আমরা অবশ্যই পাপী ছিলাম। |
|
| |
And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: ”Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zālimūn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا وَكَفَى بِنَا حَاسِبِينَ |
(47 |
| |
আমি কেয়ামতের দিন ন্যায়বিচারের মানদন্ড স্থাপন করব। সুতরাং কারও প্রতি জুলুম হবে না। যদি কোন আমল সরিষার দানা পরিমাণও হয়, আমি তা উপস্থিত করব এবং হিসাব গ্রহণের জন্যে আমিই যথেষ্ট। |
|
| |
And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We as Reckoners. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَاء وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ |
(48 |
| |
আমি মূসা ও হারুণকে দান করেছিলাম মীমাংসাকারী গ্রন্থ, আলো ও উপদেশ, আল্লাহ ভীরুদের জন্যে |
|
| |
And indeed We granted to Mūsa (Moses) and Hārūn (Aaron) the criterion (of right and wrong), and a shining light [i.e. the Taurāt (Torah)] and a Reminder for Al-Muttaqūn (the pious - see V.2:2). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ |
(49 |
| |
যারা না দেখেই তাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় করে এবং কেয়ামতের ভয়ে শঙ্কিত। |
|
| |
Those who fear their Lord without seeing Him, while they are afraid of the Hour. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَهَذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ |
(50 |
| |
এবং এটা একটা বরকতময় উপদেশ, যা আমি নাযিল করেছি। অতএব তোমরা কি একে অস্বীকার কর? |
|
| |
And this is a blessed Reminder (the Qur’ān) which We have sent down, will you then (dare to) deny it? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِه عَالِمِينَ |
(51 |
| |
আর, আমি ইতিপূর্বে ইব্রাহীমকে তার সৎপন্থা দান করেছিলাম এবং আমি তার সম্পর্কে সম্যক পরিজ্ঞাত ও ছিলাম। |
|
| |
And indeed We bestowed aforetime on Ibrāhim (Abraham) his (portion of) guidance, and We were Well-Acquainted with him (as to his Belief in the Oneness of Allāh, etc.). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ |
(52 |
| |
যখন তিনি তাঁর পিতা ও তাঁর সম্প্রদায়কে বললেনঃ এই মূর্তিগুলো কী, যাদের তোমরা পূজারী হয়ে বসে আছ। |
|
| |
When he said to his father and his people: ”What are these images, to which you are devoted?” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءنَا لَهَا عَابِدِينَ |
(53 |
| |
তারা বললঃ আমরা আমাদের বাপ-দাদাকে এদের পুজা করতে দেখেছি। |
|
| |
They said:”We found our fathers worshipping them.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ |
(54 |
| |
তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা প্রকাশ্য গোমরাহীতে আছ এবং তোমাদের বাপ-দাদারাও। |
|
| |
He said: ”Indeed you and your fathers have been in manifest error.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ اللَّاعِبِينَ |
(55 |
| |
তারা বললঃ তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে সত্যসহ আগমন করেছ, না তুমি কৌতুক করছ? |
|
| |
They said: ”Have you brought us the truth, or are you one of those who play about?” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ |
(56 |
| |
তিনি বললেনঃ না, তিনিই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা, যিনি এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন; এবং আমি এই বিষয়েরই সাক্ষ্যদাতা। |
|
| |
He said: ”Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them and of that I am one of the witnesses. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ |
(57 |
| |
আল্লাহর কসম, যখন তোমরা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে চলে যাবে, তখন আমি তোমাদের মূর্তিগুলোর ব্যাপারে একটা ব্যবস্থা অবলম্বন করব। |
|
| |
”And by Allāh, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ |
(58 |
| |
অতঃপর তিনি সেগুলোকে চূর্ণ-বিচুর্ণ করে দিলেন ওদের প্রধানটি ব্যতীতঃ যাতে তারা তাঁর কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তন করে। |
|
| |
So he broke them to pieces, (all) except the biggest of them, that they might turn to it. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ |
(59 |
| |
তারা বললঃ আমাদের উপাস্যদের সাথে এরূপ ব্যবহার কে করল? সে তো নিশ্চয়ই কোন জালিম। |
|
| |
They said: ”Who has done this to our āliha (gods)? He must indeed be one of the wrong-doers.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ |
(60 |
| |
কতক লোকে বললঃ আমরা এক যুবককে তাদের সম্পর্কে বিরূপ আলোচনা করতে শুনেছি; তাকে ইব্রাহীম বলা হয়। |
|
| |
They said: ”We heard a young man talking (against) them who is called Ibrāhim (Abraham).” |
|
| |
|
| |
قَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَى أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ |
(61 |
| |
তারা বললঃ তাকে জনসমক্ষে উপস্থিত কর, যাতে তারা দেখে। |
|
| |
They said: ”Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may testify.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا أَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ |
(62 |
| |
তারা বললঃ হে ইব্রাহীম তুমিই কি আমাদের উপাস্যদের সাথে এরূপ ব্যবহার করেছ? |
|
| |
They said: ”Are you the one who has done this to our gods, O Ibrāhim (Abraham)?” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا يَنطِقُونَ |
(63 |
| |
তিনি বললেনঃ না এদের এই প্রধানই তো একাজ করেছে। অতএব তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর, যদি তারা কথা বলতে পারে। |
|
| |
[Ibrāhim (Abraham)] said: ”Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ |
(64 |
| |
অতঃপর মনে মনে চিন্তা করল এবং বললঃ লোক সকল; তোমরাই বে ইনসাফ। |
|
| |
So they turned to themselves and said: ”Verily, you are the Zālimūn (polytheists and wrong-doers).” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاء يَنطِقُونَ |
(65 |
| |
অতঃপর তারা ঝুঁকে গেল মস্তক নত করে, তুমি তো জান যে, এরা কথা বলে না |
|
| |
Then they turned to themselves (their first thought and said): ”Indeed you [Ibrāhim (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not!” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ |
(66 |
| |
তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা কি আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুর এবাদত কর, যা তোমাদের কোন উপকার ও করতে পারে না এবং ক্ষতিও করতে পারে না ? |
|
| |
[Ibrāhim (Abraham)] said: ”Do you then worship besides Allāh, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ |
(67 |
| |
ধিক তোমাদের জন্যে এবং তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত যাদেরই এবাদত কর, ওদের জন্যে। তোমরা কি বোঝ না? |
|
| |
”Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allāh! Have you then no sense?” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ |
(68 |
| |
তারা বললঃ একে পুড়িয়ে দাও এবং তোমাদের উপাস্যদের সাহায্য কর, যদি তোমরা কিছু করতে চাও। |
|
| |
They said: ”Burn him and help your āliha (gods), if you will be doing.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ |
(69 |
| |
আমি বললামঃ হে অগ্নি, তুমি ইব্রাহীমের উপর শীতল ও নিরাপদ হয়ে যাও। |
|
| |
We (Allāh) said: ”O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrāhim (Abraham)!” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ |
(70 |
| |
তারা ইব্রাহীমের বিরুদ্ধে ফন্দি আঁটতে চাইল, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকেই সর্বাধিক ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ করে দিলাম। |
|
| |
And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ |
(71 |
| |
আমি তাঁকে ও লূতকে উদ্ধার করে সেই দেশে পৌঁছিয়ে দিলাম, যেখানে আমি বিশ্বের জন্যে কল্যাণ রেখেছি। |
|
| |
And We rescued him and Lout (Lot) to the land which We have blessed for the ’Alamīn (mankind and jinns). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ |
(72 |
| |
আমি তাকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও পুরস্কার স্বরূপ দিলাম ইয়াকুব এবং প্রত্যেককেই সৎকর্ম পরায়ণ করলাম। |
|
| |
And We bestowed upon him Ishāque (Isaac), and (a grandson) Ya’qūb (Jacob). Each one We made righteous. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ |
(73 |
| |
আমি তাঁদেরকে নেতা করলাম। তাঁরা আমার নির্দেশ অনুসারে পথ প্রদর্শন করতেন। আমি তাঁদের প্রতি ওহী নাযিল করলাম সৎকর্ম করার, নামায কায়েম করার এবং যাকাত দান করার। তাঁরা আমার এবাদতে ব্যাপৃত ছিল। |

| |
And We made them leaders, guiding (mankind) by Our Command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds, performing Salāt (Iqāmat-as-Salāt), and the giving of Zakāt and of Us (Alone) they were worshippers. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلُوطًا آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبَائِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِينَ |
(74 |
| |
এবং আমি লূতকে দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান এবং তাঁকে ঐ জনপদ থেকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম, যারা নোংরা কাজে লিপ্ত ছিল। তারা মন্দ ও নাফরমান সম্প্রদায় ছিল। |
|
| |
And (remember) Lout (Lot), We gave him Hukman (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and (religious) knowledge, and We saved him from the town (folk) who practised Al-Khabā’ith (evil, wicked and filthy deeds, etc.). Verily, they were a people given to evil, and were Fāsiqūn (rebellious, disobedient, to Allāh). |

| |
|
|
| |
وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
(75 |
| |
আমি তাকে আমার অনুগ্রহের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছিলাম। সে ছিল সৎকর্মশীলদের একজন। |
|
| |
And We admitted him to Our Mercy, truly, he was of the righteous. |
|
| |
|
| |
وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَى مِن قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ |
(76 |
| |
এবং স্মরণ করুন নূহকে; যখন তিনি এর পূর্বে আহবান করেছিলেন। তখন আমি তাঁর দোয়া কবুল করেছিলাম, অতঃপর তাঁকে ও তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে মহা সংকট থেকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম। |
|
| |
And (remember) Nūh (Noah), when he cried (to Us) aforetime. We listened to his invocation and saved him and his family from great distress. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ |
(77 |
| |
এবং আমি তাঁকে ঐ সম্প্রদায়ের বিপক্ষে সাহায্য করেছিলাম, যারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীকে অস্বীকার করেছিল। নিশ্চয়, তারা ছিল এক মন্দ সম্প্রদায়। অতঃপর আমি তাদের সবাইকে নিমজ্জত করেছিলাম। |
|
| |
We helped him against people who denied Our Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). Verily, they were a people given to evil. So We drowned them all. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَدَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِي الْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَاهِدِينَ |
(78 |
| |
এবং স্মরণ করুন দাউদ ও সুলায়মানকে, যখন তাঁরা শস্যক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে বিচার করেছিলেন। তাতে রাত্রিকালে কিছু লোকের মেষ ঢুকে পড়েছিল। তাদের বিচার আমার সম্মুখে ছিল। |

| |
And (remember) Dawūd (David) and Sulaimān (Solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night and We were witness to their judgement. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ |
(79 |
| |
অতঃপর আমি সুলায়মানকে সে ফায়সালা বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম এবং আমি উভয়কে প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান দিয়েছিলাম। আমি পর্বত ও পক্ষীসমূহকে দাউদের অনুগত করে দিয়েছিলাম; তারা আমার পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করত। এই সমস্ত আমিই করেছিলাম। |

| |
And We made Sulaimān (Solomon) to understand (the case), and to each of them We gave Hukman (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains and the birds to glorify Our Praises along with Dawūd (David), And it was We Who were the doers (of all these things). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّن بَأْسِكُمْ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَاكِرُونَ |
(80 |
| |
আমি তাঁকে তোমাদের জন্যে বর্ম নির্মান শিক্ষা দিয়েছিলাম, যাতে তা যুদ্ধে তোমাদেরকে রক্ষা করে। অতএব তোমরা কি কৃতজ্ঞ হবে? |
|
| |
And We taught him the making of metal coats of mail (for battles), to protect you in your fighting. Are you then grateful? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَالِمِينَ |
(81 |
| |
এবং সুলায়মানের অধীন করে দিয়েছিলাম প্রবল বায়ুকে; তা তাঁর আদেশে প্রবাহিত হত ঐ দেশের দিকে, যেখানে আমি কল্যাণ দান করেছি। আমি সব বিষয়েই সম্যক অবগত রয়েছি। |

| |
And to Sulaimān (Solomon) (We subjected) the wind strongly raging, running by his command towards the land which We had blessed. And of everything We are the All-Knower. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَافِظِينَ |
(82 |
| |
এবং অধীন করেছি শয়তানদের কতককে, যারা তার জন্যে ডুবুরীর কাজ করত এবং এ ছাড়া অন্য আরও অনেক কাজ করত। আমি তাদেরকে নিয়ন্ত্রন করে রাখতাম। |
|
| |
And of the Shayātin (devils) (from the jinns) were some who dived for him, and did other work besides that; and it was We Who guarded them. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ |
(83 |
| |
এবং স্মরণ করুন আইয়্যুবের কথা, যখন তিনি তাঁর পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করে বলেছিলেনঃ আমি দুঃখকষ্টে পতিত হয়েছি এবং আপনি দয়াবানদের চাইতেও সর্বশ্রেষ্ট দয়াবান। |
|
| |
And (remember) Ayūb (Job), when he cried to his Lord: ”Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِن ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَى لِلْعَابِدِينَ |
(84 |
| |
অতঃপর আমি তাঁর আহবানে সাড়া দিলাম এবং তাঁর দুঃখকষ্ট দূর করে দিলাম এবং তাঁর পরিবরাবর্গ ফিরিয়ে দিলাম, আর তাদের সাথে তাদের সমপরিমাণ আরও দিলাম আমার পক্ষ থেকে কৃপাবশতঃ আর এটা এবাদত কারীদের জন্যে উপদেশ স্বরূপ। |

| |
So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them, as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّابِرِينَ |
(85 |
| |
এবং ইসমাঈল, ই’দ্রীস ও যুলকিফলের কথা স্মরণ করুন, তাঁরা প্রত্যেকেই ছিলেন সবরকারী। |
|
| |
And (remember) Isma’īl (Ishmael), and Idris (Enoch) and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all were from among As-Sābirin (the patient ones, etc.). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُم مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
(86 |
| |
আমি তাঁদেরকে আমার রহমাতপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত করেছিলাম। তাঁরা ছিলেন সৎকর্মপরায়ণ। |
|
| |
And We admitted them to Our Mercy. Verily, they were of the righteous. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَذَا النُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَى فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ أَن لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ |
(87 |
| |
এবং মাছওয়ালার কথা স্মরণ করুন তিনি ক্রুদ্ধ হয়ে চলে গিয়েছিলেন, অতঃপর মনে করেছিলেন যে, আমি তাঁকে ধৃত করতে পারব না। অতঃপর তিনি অন্ধকারের মধ্যে আহবান করলেনঃ তুমি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই; তুমি নির্দোষ আমি গুনাহগার। |
|
| |
And (remember) Dhan-Nūn (Jonah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him (i.e. the calamites which had befallen him)! But he cried through the darkness (saying): Lā ilāha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allāh)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.” |

| |
|
|
| |
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَكَذَلِكَ نُنجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
(88 |
| |
অতঃপর আমি তাঁর আহবানে সাড়া দিলাম এবং তাঁকে দুশ্চিন্তা থেকে মুক্তি দিলাম। আমি এমনি ভাবে বিশ্ববাসীদেরকে মুক্তি দিয়ে থাকি। |
|
| |
So We answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allāh, abstain from evil and work righteousness). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَزَكَرِيَّا إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ |
(89 |
| |
এবং যাকারিয়ার কথা স্মরণ করুন, যখন সে তার পালনকর্তাকে আহবান করেছিল; হে আমার পালনকর্তা আমাকে একা রেখো না। তুমি তো উত্তম ওয়ারিস। |
|
| |
And (remember) Zakariya (Zachariah), when he cried to his Lord: ”O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَى وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ |
(90 |
| |
অতঃপর আমি তার দোয়া কবুল করেছিলাম, তাকে দান করেছিলাম ইয়াহইয়া এবং তার জন্যে তার স্ত্রীকে প্রসব যোগ্য করেছিলাম। তারা সৎকর্মে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ত, তারা আশা ও ভীতি সহকারে আমাকে ডাকত এবং তারা ছিল আমার কাছে বিনীত। |
|
| |
So We answered his call, and We bestowed upon him Yahya (John), and cured his wife (to bear a child) for him. Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, and they used to call on Us with hope and fear, and used to humble themselves before Us. |
|
| |
|
| |
وَالَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا وَابْنَهَا آيَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ |
(91 |
| |
এবং সেই নারীর কথা আলোচনা করুন, যে তার কামপ্রবৃত্তিকে বশে রেখেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তার মধ্যে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দিয়েছিলাম এবং তাকে তার পুত্রকে বিশ্ববাসীর জন্য নিদর্শন করেছিলাম। |
|
| |
And (remember) she who guarded her chastity [Virgin Maryam (Mary)], We breathed into (the sleeves of) her (shirt or garment) [through Our Rūh Jibrael (Gabriel)], and We made her and her son [’Iesa (Jesus)] a sign for Al-’Alamin (the mankind and jinns). |

|
|
| |
إِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ |
(92 |
| |
তারা সকলেই তোমাদের ধর্মের; একই ধর্মে তো বিশ্বাসী সবাই এবং আমিই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, অতএব আমার বন্দেগী কর। |
|
| |
Truly! This, your Ummah [Sharia or religion (Islāmic Monotheism)] is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone). [Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr] |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُونَ |
(93 |
| |
এবং মানুষ তাদের কার্যকলাপ দ্বারা পারস্পরিক বিষয়ে ভেদ সৃষ্টি করেছে। প্রত্যেকেই আমার কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে। |
|
| |
But they have broken up and differed as regards their religion among themselves. (And) they all shall return to Us. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِ وَإِنَّا لَهُ كَاتِبُونَ |
(94 |
| |
অতঃপর যে বিশ্বাসী অবস্থায় সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, তার প্রচেষ্টা অস্বীকৃত হবে না এবং আমি তা লিপিবদ্ধ করে রাখি। |
|
| |
So whoever does righteous good deeds while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allāh Islāmic Monotheism), his efforts will not be rejected. Verily! We record it in his Book of deeds. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ |
(95 |
| |
যেসব জনপদকে আমি ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, তার অধিবাসীদের ফিরে না আসা অবধারিত। |
|
| |
And a ban is laid on every town (population) which We have destroyed that they shall not return (to this world again, nor repent to Us). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
حَتَّى إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ |
(96 |
| |
যে পর্যন্ত না ইয়াজুজ ও মাজুজকে বন্ধন মুক্ত করে দেয়া হবে এবং তারা প্রত্যেক উচ্চভুমি থেকে দ্রুত ছুটে আসবে। |
|
| |
Until, when Ya’jūj and Ma’jūj (Gog and Magog) are let loose (from their barrier), and they swiftly swarm from every mound. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ |
(97 |
| |
আমোঘ প্রতিশ্রুত সময় নিকটবর্তী হলে কাফেরদের চক্ষু উচ্চে স্থির হয়ে যাবে; হায় আমাদের দূর্ভাগ্য, আমরা এ বিষয়ে বেখবর ছিলাম; বরং আমরা গোনাহগরই ছিলাম। |
|
| |
And the true promise (Day of Resurrection) shall draw near (of fulfillment). Then (when mankind is resurrected from their graves), you shall see the eyes of the disbelievers fixedly stare in horror. (They will say): ”Woe to us! We were indeed heedless of this; nay, but we were Zālimūn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).” |

|
|
| |
إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ |
(98 |
| |
তোমরা এবং আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদের পুজা কর, সেগুলো দোযখের ইন্ধন। তোমরাই তাতে প্রবেশ করবে। |
|
| |
Certainly! You (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allāh, are (but) fuel for Hell! (Surely), you will enter it. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَوْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاء آلِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوهَا وَكُلٌّ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
(99 |
| |
এই মূর্তিরা যদি উপাস্য হত, তবে জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করত না। প্রত্যেকেই তাতে চিরস্থায়ী হয়ে পড়ে থাকবে। |
|
| |
Had these (idols, etc.) been āliha (gods), they would not have entered there (Hell), and all of them will abide therein. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ |
(100 |
| |
তারা সেখানে চীৎকার করবে এবং সেখানে তারা কিছুই শুনতে পাবে না। |
|
| |
Therein breathing out with deep sighs and roaring will be their portion, and therein they will hear not. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ |
(101 |
| |
যাদের জন্য প্রথম থেকেই আমার পক্ষ থেকে কল্যাণ নির্ধারিত হয়েছে তারা দোযখ থেকে দূরে থাকবে। |
|
| |
Verily those for whom the good has preceded from Us, they will be removed far therefrom (Hell) [e.g. ’Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary); ’Uzair (Ezra), etc.]. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا اشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَالِدُونَ |
(102 |
| |
তারা তার ক্ষীণতম শব্দও শুনবে না এবং তারা তাদের মনের বাসনা অনুযায়ী চিরকাল বসবাস করবে। |
|
| |
They shall not hear the slightest sound of it (Hell), while they abide in that which their ownselves desire. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ هَذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ |
(103 |
| |
মহা ত্রাস তাদেরকে চিন্তান্বিত করবে না এবং ফেরেশতারা তাদেরকে অভ্যর্থনা করবেঃ আজ তোমাদের দিন, যে দিনের ওয়াদা তোমাদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছিল। |
|
| |
The greatest terror (on the Day of Resurrection) will not grieve them, and the angels will meet them, (with the greeting): ”This is your Day which you were promised.” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
يَوْمَ نَطْوِي السَّمَاء كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ |
(104 |
| |
সেদিন আমি আকাশকে গুটিয়ে নেব, যেমন গুটানো হয় লিখিত কাগজপত্র। যেভাবে আমি প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেছিলাম, সেভাবে পুনরায় সৃষ্টি করব। আমার ওয়াদা নিশ্চিত, আমাকে তা পূর্ণ করতেই হবে। |

| |
And (remember) the Day when We shall roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books, as We began the first creation, We shall repeat it, (it is) a promise binding upon Us. Truly, We shall do it. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ |
(105 |
| |
আমি উপদেশের পর যবুরে লিখে দিয়েছি যে, আমার সৎকর্মপরায়ণ বান্দাগণ অবশেষে পৃথিবীর অধিকারী হবে। |
|
| |
And indeed We have written in Zabūr (Psalms) [i.e. all the revealed Holy Books the Taurāt (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’ān] after (We have already written in) Al-Lauh Al-Mahfūz (the Book, that is in the heaven with Allāh), that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land (i.e. the land of Paradise). |

| |
إِنَّ فِي هَذَا لَبَلَاغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ |
(106 |
| |
এতে এবাদতকারী সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে পর্যাপ্ত বিষয়বস্তু আছে। |
|
| |
Verily, in this (the Qur’ān) there is a plain Message for people who worship Allāh (i.e. the true, real believers of Islāmic Monotheism who act practically on the Qur’ān and the Sunnah legal ways of the Prophet SAW). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ |
(107 |
| |
আমি আপনাকে বিশ্ববাসীর জন্যে রহমত স্বরূপই প্রেরণ করেছি। |
|
| |
And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the ’Alamīn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ |
(108 |
| |
বলুনঃ আমাকে তো এ আদেশই দেয়া হয়েছে যে, তোমাদের উপাস্য একমাত্র উপাস্য। সুতরাংতোমরা কি আজ্ঞাবহ হবে? |
|
| |
Say (O Muhammad SAW): ”It is revealed to me that your Ilāh (God) is only one Ilāh (God - Allāh). Will you then submit to His Will (become Muslims and stop worshipping others besides Allāh)?” |
|
| |
|
|
| |
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ آذَنتُكُمْ عَلَى سَوَاء وَإِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ |
(109 |
| |
অতঃপর যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে বলে দিনঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে পরিস্কার ভাবে সতর্ক করেছি এবং আমি জানি না, তোমাদেরকে যে ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে, তা নিকটবর্তী না দূরবর্তী। |
|
| |
But if they (disbelievers, idolaters, Jews, Christians, polytheists, etc.) turn away (from Islāmic Monotheism) say (to them O Muhammad SAW): ”I give you a notice (of war as) to be known to us all alike. And I know not whether that which you are promised (i.e. the torment or the Day of Resurrection) is near or far.” |

|
| |
إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ |
(110 |
| |
তিনি জানেন, যে কথা সশব্দে বল এবং যে কথা তোমরা গোপন কর। |
|
| |
(Say O Muhammad SAW) Verily, He (Allāh) knows that which is spoken aloud (openly) and that which you conceal. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ |
(111 |
| |
আমি জানি না সম্ভবতঃ বিলম্বের মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্যে একটি পরীক্ষা এবং এক সময় পর্যন্ত ভোগ করার সুযোগ। |
|
| |
And I know not, perhaps it may be a trial for you, and an enjoyment for a while. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
قَالَ رَبِّ احْكُم بِالْحَقِّ وَرَبُّنَا الرَّحْمَنُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ |
(112 |
| |
পয়গাম্বর বললেনঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আপনি ন্যায়ানুগ ফয়সালা করে দিন। আমাদের পালনকর্তা তো দয়াময়, তোমরা যা বলছ, সে বিষয়ে আমরা তাঁর কাছেই সাহায্য প্রার্থনা করি। |

He (Muhammad SAW) said:”My Lord! Judge You in truth! Our Lord is the Most Beneficent, Whose Help is to be sought against that which you attribute (unto Allāh that He has offspring, and unto Muhammad SAW that he is a sorcerer, and unto the Qur’ān that it is poetry, etc.)!” |
